Canada’s largest conference and trade show dedicated to the natural health and organic products industry, CHFA East, will again be hosted at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the year’s biggest showcase of innovative new products and for networking and educational seminar. CHFA East is backed by industry growth for the natural health product industry, which contributes to CA$4 billion, and the organic product industry with another $5 billion addition to the Canadian economy.

The Canadian Health Food Association, Canada’s largest trade association dedicated to the natural health products industry, said this year's event is all about "Connecting the Industry". "CHFA East is more than highlighting the latest products and services.  It’s about creating new relationships with industry leaders, discovering innovative trends and gaining knowledge to help you grow your retail business," the CHFA said.

This year's Conference is on September 13 & 14, 2018, while the Trade Show is on September 15 & 16, 2018; Open 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 pm daily at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, Toronto, Ontario.

"With over one thousand exhibition companies and more products than ever before, retailers can be confident that this is the only show they need to attend this fall. Take a few moments to review our exhibitor list and education program and the products showcase and make plans to now join us in September," the CHFA said.

"A successful retail business depends on keeping up with innovative new products and trends. CHFA East is your chance to see, touch and taste thousands of new natural health and organic products, from vitamins and supplements, to foods and personal care and so much more.

"Product education sessions provide you with a unique opportunity to meet developers, manufacturers, and distributors and learn from their insights and knowledge."

The conference program is developed based on feedback from members of the Association.

In late 2017, Canada's Organic Trade Association - COTA released its second comprehensive analysis of Canada’s organic market.

“Canada’s organic sector remains on its upward trajectory, gaining new market share as consumers across Canada ate and used more organic products than ever before,” said Tia Loftsgard, executive director of the Canada Organic Trade Association. “It is an exciting time to be a part of a sector that shows such promise to bring positive economic, social and environmental change to Canada.

Canada’s total organic market (including food and non-food items) is estimated at CA$5.4 billion, up from $3.5 billion in 2012, while the organic food and beverage market is estimated at $4.4 billion, up from $2.8 billion in 2012.

The compound annual growth rate of the total organic market was estimated at 8.7 percent between 2012 and 2017.

CHFA industry numbers show that 77 percent of Canadians use natural health products (NHPs) on a regular basis and 45 percent of Canadians use NHPs daily, while 85 percent of NHP consumers use these products to maintain or improve their health.

CHFA produces three trade shows in Canada — CHFA East in Toronto, CHFA West in Vancouver every year, and CHFA Québec in Montreal every two years— showcasing the latest trends and products in the natural health and organic products industry.
