Despite the recent economic turmoil that hit in particular the UK, the 15th Natural & Organic Products Europe held again at the charming Olympia fairgrounds in London, April 3-4 was a tremendous success, with 7,585 industry visitors. This year we had more international pavilions, with companies from Brazil, Thailand, Italy, Latzio, Italy and New Zealand”, said show manager Simon Barry. “We are excited with the great new products introduced to delight the buyers”. Mr Barry noted this year there is more emphasis in sustainability and the product selection reflecting growing trends for local, slow, “free-from”, organic and fair trade. There is also a crossover from specialty and ethnic foods to organic.

“The proportion of food and non food exhibitors seems good”, said Ming Liu, manager of OrganicsBrasil, an umbrella and promotion project exhibiting for the first time at the fair. “We had some good leads for distributors and opportunity to see what is going on in the UK market, where we already sell a lot of products via online” said Vinicius Vasconcelos of beauty products Surya Brasil. “This is a great show for us, it is cheerful and we get to see lots of clients”, said Tim Westwell, managing director of award winner Pukka Herbs. “NOPE is not a large show, but we get lots of traffic, new and old contacts and people from different countries”, said Meredith Greiner, marketing manager at Nordic Naturals. In 2012 Natural & Organic Products Europe will take place April 1-2. More information at
