On 12 February 2020, Dr. Jane Goodall, Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE), primate researcher and UN Messenger of Peace will open the next round of the biggest industry gathering for the international organic food and natural cosmetics sectors. This means that the keynote address at the official opening of BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food and VIVANESS, the international trade fair for natural and organic personal care, will be held by a highly acclaimed scientist who has made a name for herself around the globe through her huge commitment to the natural world, the human race and animals, worldwide species conservation, sustainability and the life of future generations. In doing so she embodies issues and values that do not just play a key role within the sector but are also reflected in the BIOFACH 2020 congress theme “Organic delivers!”.
“We are honored that Dr. Jane Goodall DBE has accepted our invitation!", said Petra Wolf, a member of the NürnbergMesse management team. "The entire sector can look forward to a fantastic highlight on the very first day of BIOFACH and VIVANESS 2020 when the primate researcher, environmental activist and UN Messenger of Peace gives the keynote speech. She is a highly impressive and inspiring woman whose dedication to species conservation is unparalleled, not just through her work with chimpanzees, and who therefore could hardly have a closer connection to the values of the organic sector. She is certain to inspire the organic movement through her words and we are all looking forward to her presentation and her presence here with great excitement!”
Over 3,500 exhibitors from around 100 countries and more than 50,000 trade visitors (51,488 from over 140 countries in 2019) will join Dr. Jane Goodall DBE at the annual BIOFACH this coming February 12-15, 2020, celebrated at the state-of-the-art MesseNuremberg fairgrounds in Nuremberg, Germany.
What makes this B2B event unique is not only its international and festive but still professional nature but the fact that the fair organizer makes the effort to ensure the products on display are not just "natural" or "sustainable; they must have a valid organic certification.
The BIOFACH Congress theme in 2020 “Organic delivers!” turns the spotlight on the positive effects of regenerative agriculture. The Congress hosted around 9,500 participants and 139 presentations in 2019!
Not to miss is the special presentation: “All about Water: is the basis of all life endangered?” Interesting to note that during the launch of Organic & Wellness News in February 2004, we organized at BIOFACH a presentation on the meaning of water, with the presence of interesting speakers that shared how this precious resource that keeps the code and meaning of life itself and how information is transferred to the next generation, is by far more than H2O. Exciting to learn how much more is now known about water and how we all can protect it.
