For the fifth consecutive year, the North American edition of the Sustainable Foods Summit will be hosted in San Francisco, while organiser Organic Monitor has announced that it will be followed by a new Natural Cosmetics Masterclass, hosted in San Francisco on 23rd January 2015.
The Sustainable Foods Summit will feature food traceability, sustainable ingredients and customer behaviour.
Organic Monitor asks with growing consumer concerns about GMOs, how can food and ingredient firms provide transparency in their supply chains? What developments are occurring in food ingredients for sustainability? How can brands and retailers encourage sustainable purchases and responsible consumption of food products?
Such questions will be addressed in this new edition. Taking place on 21-22 January 2015, the summit will bring together key stake-holders in the food industry to debate sustainability issues in a high-level forum. The summit comprises four distinct sessions over a two-day program.
The Sustainable Foods Summit is a series of international events that focuses on the leading issues the food industry faces concerning sustainability and eco-labels, such as Organic, Fair Trade, Rainforest Alliance, UTZ Certified, etc. The aim of the Sustainable Foods Summit is to explore new horizons for eco-labels and sustainability in the food industry by discussing key industry issues.

New research undertaken by Organic Monitor shows that while the number of green standards and labels in the personal care industry has mushroomed, adoption rates remain low in the U.S. and Canada.
To help encourage adoption of certification and standards, Organic Monitor has launched a new Natural Cosmetics Masterclass that will be hosted in San Francisco on 23rd January, 2015.
The Masterclass will be held at the Hilton San Francisco Financial District, located near Union Square in the centre of San Francisco. Look up: http://www.organicmonitor.com/masterclass13.htm
